3Idiots

Grapevine has been abuzz with rumours claiming that Rajkumar Hirani is keen on making a sequel of the blockbuster film ‘3 Idiots’. Now it seems that the project is progressing at a rapid pace as recently Sharman Joshi confirmed in a statement that the filmmaker has narrated the script to the cast of the flick. He said, “Yes, there is an idea related to 3 Idiots that Hirani has shared with all of us (clearly, he means Aamir Khan and R Madhavan included). I just hope it materialises and I get to work on it ASAP”.

Hirani had earlier said, “Initially, I had plans to make PK 2, but we don't have any subject for the film. As far as 3 Idiots' sequel is concerned, Abhijat (Joshi) and I have a germ (idea), but we are yet to develop it. The film will take some time”.
Aamir had also stated previously, “Raju (Rajkumar Hirani) some time ago mentioned that he has found a story for ‘3 Idiots’ (sequel). So maybe we will reunite soon. Don’t make it as a breaking news”. Starring Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi in lead roles, ‘3 Idiots’ was the first film that crossed Rs. 200 crore mark in India.
